Our Bands

Our student musicians join a band, practice together for about 12 weeks, and then play a rock show!

Each of our band directors and lesson teachers is a working musician in the Kalamazoo area.  

KAR's Mission:

The Kalamazoo Academy of Rock gives kids of myriad ages, interests, personalities and persuasions a safe place to jam, both literally and metaphorically.
